Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using AI Inspector Academy ("the Service"), operated by AI Inspector Academy ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old and a parent or legal guardian to create an account. By signing up, you represent that you have the legal authority to consent on behalf of any child profiles you create.

2. Description of Service

AI Inspector Academy is an educational platform that helps children develop critical thinking and AI literacy skills through interactive missions and sandbox exercises. Parents create accounts, add child profiles, and manage their child's learning activities.

The Service uses third-party AI models to generate educational content. While we strive for accuracy and age-appropriateness, AI- generated content may occasionally contain errors or unexpected output.

3. Accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current information during registration and to keep it updated.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Subscription and Billing

Free Trial

New users receive a limited free trial (currently 3 missions). No payment information is required for the free trial. Trial limits may change at our discretion.

Paid Subscriptions

  • Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annual) at the rate displayed at the time of purchase.
  • Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.
  • Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes do not affect your current billing period.

Cancellation

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account Settings or the Stripe Customer Portal.
  • Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of your current paid billing period.
  • After your subscription ends, your account reverts to free-trial limitations. Your data (children, missions, progress) is preserved.

Refunds

We generally do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. However, if you are dissatisfied within the first 7 days of a new subscription or renewal, you may contact us at support@aiinspectoracademy.com to request a refund. Refund requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our systems.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks.
  • Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service beyond normal usage.
  • Submit content that is harmful, abusive, threatening, or inappropriate for an educational platform serving children.
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or its AI-generated content without written permission.

6. Intellectual Property

Our Content

The Service, including its design, logos, software, curriculum structure, and original content, is owned by AI Inspector Academy and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our materials except as permitted by these Terms.

AI-Generated Content

Missions and sandbox exercises are generated by AI specifically for your child. You may print, download, and use this generated content for personal educational purposes within your family. You may not commercially redistribute AI-generated missions or compile them into competing products.

Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you or your child submit through the Service (e.g., sandbox chat messages). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process this content solely to provide and improve the Service.

7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The educational content and AI responses provided through the Service are generated by artificial intelligence. While we design prompts and filters for age-appropriateness and accuracy:

  • AI-generated content may contain factual errors. This is by design in some exercises where children learn to identify AI mistakes.
  • The Service is a supplement to education, not a substitute for professional teaching or curriculum.
  • We do not guarantee specific educational outcomes.
  • Parents should review content and use their judgment regarding appropriateness for their child.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AI INSPECTOR ACADEMY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR INTERRUPTION OF SERVICE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AI Inspector Academy, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

  • You may close your account at any time by contacting us.
  • We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or for any reason with reasonable notice.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Data deletion follows our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in King County, Washington.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users via email of any material changes at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
